Job Overview

A leading organization in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to support major Oil & Gas EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects across both Onshore and Offshore operations. This opportunity is ideal for procurement professionals with extensive experience in sourcing critical mechanical equipment, vendor management, contract administration, and procurement strategy within the energy sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading procurement activities for rotary and static equipment while ensuring timely material delivery, cost optimization, and compliance with project specifications and international standards. Working closely with engineering, project management, and supply chain teams, you will play a key role in supporting successful EPC project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement activities for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
  • Manage procurement of rotary and static mechanical equipment.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified vendors and suppliers.
  • Conduct commercial and technical bid evaluations.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms with suppliers.
  • Develop procurement strategies focused on cost optimization and timely delivery.
  • Utilize SAP for procurement planning, purchasing, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, and logistics teams.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare procurement reports, documentation, and project updates.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and international standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 12–15+ years of professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects (Onshore & Offshore).
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
