Job Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (Tender / Pre-Contracts) to join a growing organization in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in cost estimation, tender management, quantity surveying, and pre-contract commercial activities within infrastructure and construction projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project planning, procurement, and commercial operations by preparing accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documentation. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare project cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project budgets.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Prepare tender documentation and manage the complete tendering process.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) based on approved BOQs.
• Evaluate supplier and contractor quotations and prepare tender evaluation reports.
• Support procurement and pre-contract commercial activities.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets during the design development stage.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and recommend cost optimization solutions.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, commercial requirements, and project specifications.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying with a strong focus on tendering and pre-contract activities.
• Proven experience in:
  • Bills of Quantities (BOQ) preparation
  • Quantity take-offs
  • Cost estimation
  • Tender management
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or other Quantity Surveying software.
• Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Excellent understanding of procurement processes and commercial documentation.
• Professional certifications related to quantity surveying, commercial management, or project management are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Infrastructure Projects.
• Previous experience in Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) projects is highly desirable.
