Job Overview

Xantory is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, operate, secure, and continuously improve the infrastructure supporting its farm and Sentinel systems in the UAE. The position covers the complete infrastructure lifecycle, from continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) through production deployment, infrastructure management, monitoring, security, backup, and disaster recovery.

The DevOps Engineer will work closely with development and engineering teams to build reliable CI/CD pipelines, operate scalable cloud and server infrastructure, and establish effective logging, metrics, and alerting systems. The role also includes responsibility for infrastructure as code, access management, secrets management, and security hardening aligned with ISO 27001 principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for development teams.
• Manage deployment processes across development and production environments.
• Operate, scale, and secure server and cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation.
• Build logging, monitoring, metrics, and alerting infrastructure.
• Support engineering teams and Security Operations Center (SOC) requirements.
• Develop and maintain backup strategies.
• Implement disaster recovery processes and procedures.
• Conduct regular restore testing to validate recovery capabilities.
• Manage infrastructure access and permissions.
• Manage secrets and sensitive infrastructure credentials securely.
• Implement security hardening practices aligned with ISO 27001 requirements.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or in a closely related role.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies and practices.
• Practical experience with containerization technologies.
• Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure.
• Experience managing server infrastructure.
• Practical experience with monitoring and logging systems.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Security-conscious approach to infrastructure management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Structured approach to technical operations and system management.
• Experience with Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Experience with Terraform is an advantage.
• Experience with Ansible is an advantage.
• Knowledge of security hardening and ISO 27001 practices is beneficial.
