Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing and a solid understanding of UAE payroll requirements, including WPS, UAE Labour Law, leave management, overtime, and end-of-service benefits.
This position is particularly suited to payroll professionals with experience in the construction industry. The Payroll Specialist will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with applicable UAE employment and payroll requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll.
- Manage payroll requirements related to the UAE Wage Protection System (WPS).
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and supporting documentation.
- Process employee leave, overtime, deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
- Calculate and process end-of-service benefits in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant UAE Labour Law requirements.
- Reconcile payroll data and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams regarding employee compensation and payroll matters.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and compensation information.
- Prepare payroll reports and support payroll-related audits when required.
- Use payroll systems and MS Excel to maintain, analyze, and report payroll information.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of payroll experience in the UAE.
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Good understanding of UAE Labour Law and payroll compliance requirements.
- Practical knowledge of WPS, leave management, overtime, and end-of-service benefits.
- Construction industry experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred.
