Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer specializing in API Testing to join an onsite technology team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is a 6-month extendable contract opportunity for professionals with strong experience in both manual and automation testing, API validation, SQL-based data reconciliation, and enterprise data platform testing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for testing REST APIs, validating authentication and data structures, performing data transformation and reconciliation, and supporting quality assurance across enterprise technology environments. Experience with Playwright API, Rest Assured, PyTest, SQL, Kafka, and event-driven platforms will be valuable for this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated quality assurance testing across enterprise applications and APIs.
- Develop and execute API test cases using appropriate automation frameworks.
- Test REST APIs and validate API functionality, responses, and data integrity.
- Validate OAuth2, JWT authentication, and JSON Schema requirements.
- Perform SQL-based data validation, transformation, and reconciliation.
- Conduct testing of Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) environments.
- Validate data movement and consistency across enterprise systems.
- Support testing of Kafka and other event-driven or streaming platforms.
- Identify, document, investigate, and track software defects.
- Collaborate with development, data, business, and technology teams to resolve quality issues.
- Contribute to automation testing and continuous improvement of QA processes.
- Prepare and maintain testing documentation, reports, and quality records.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in QA Engineering, including manual and automation testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright API, Rest Assured, or PyTest.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in data transformation and reconciliation.
- Solid experience testing REST APIs, OAuth2, JWT, and JSON Schema Validation.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) testing.
- Strong experience with SQL-based data reconciliation.
- Knowledge of Kafka or other event-driven and streaming platforms.
- Previous experience in Banking or FinTech is mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite technology environment.
- Available to join immediately or within 30 days.
