Job Overview

Aastha Consulting is conducting a major recruitment drive for an upcoming 6–9 month shutdown project with a leading refinery and petrochemical plant in Saudi Arabia. Experienced professionals are being sought across mechanical, fabrication, inspection, maintenance, and shutdown disciplines for multiple project positions.

The recruitment drive includes opportunities for Fabricators, Foremen, Hydro Jetter Technicians, Static Supervisors, QA/QC Inspectors, BA Technicians, Bolt Torquing Foremen and Technicians, Welders, and Millwright Technicians. Candidates with relevant experience in refinery, petrochemical, Oil & Gas, shutdown, fabrication, mechanical maintenance, or QA/QC projects are encouraged to apply.

The project provides professionals with valuable exposure to major refinery and petrochemical shutdown operations in Saudi Arabia. This experience can support career growth in mechanical maintenance, fabrication, inspection, shutdown management, quality control, and industrial operations. Relevant technical training, safety qualifications, trade certifications, and QA/QC certifications can further support professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary according to the position and project discipline and may include:

  • Perform fabrication, mechanical maintenance, inspection, and shutdown activities.
  • Execute assigned work in accordance with approved project procedures and safety requirements.
  • Support refinery and petrochemical shutdown activities within the assigned discipline.
  • Carry out equipment, piping, fabrication, maintenance, inspection, and technical activities as applicable.
  • Supervise work crews and coordinate daily activities where required.
  • Perform hydro jetting and associated industrial cleaning activities where applicable.
  • Conduct static equipment supervision and maintenance activities.
  • Perform QA/QC inspections and maintain relevant quality documentation.
  • Execute bolt torquing activities in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Perform welding activities on carbon steel and stainless-steel components where applicable.
  • Carry out millwright and mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Follow project safety procedures and industrial work standards.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, inspectors, contractors, and project teams.
  • Maintain accurate work records and comply with project documentation requirements.
  • Support timely and safe completion of shutdown activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Relevant professional or trade experience in the applied position.
  • Previous experience in Refinery, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Shutdown, Fabrication, Mechanical Maintenance, or QA/QC projects.
  • Practical knowledge of the relevant trade or technical discipline.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in industrial project environments.
  • Strong understanding of applicable work procedures and site safety requirements.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Candidates with relevant shutdown project experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
