An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a major construction project in Qiddiyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position is suited to a senior quantity surveying professional with 10+ years of relevant experience in major construction projects and strong expertise in commercial and contract management.

The successful candidate will oversee commercial and contractual activities, including interim valuations, cost reporting, variations, claims, change management, subcontractor procurement, payment management, forecasting, budgeting, and final accounts. The role also involves managing and supervising a team of Quantity Surveyors to ensure effective commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contract management activities for the construction project.
• Manage interim valuations and ensure accurate commercial reporting.
• Prepare and monitor project cost reports.
• Manage variations, claims, and change-control processes.
• Evaluate contractual and commercial impacts of project changes.
• Lead subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Manage subcontractor payment processes and valuations.
• Prepare project forecasts and monitor financial performance.
• Support project budgeting and cost-control activities.
• Manage and prepare final accounts.
• Review contractual obligations and commercial risks.
• Ensure commercial procedures are implemented effectively throughout the project.
• Manage and supervise a team of Quantity Surveyors.
• Provide commercial guidance and mentoring to quantity surveying team members.
• Coordinate with project management, procurement, engineering, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and contract documentation.
• Identify potential commercial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in major construction projects.
• Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC construction experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of contractual and commercial procedures.
• Proven experience in commercial and contract management.
• Strong knowledge of valuations, cost reporting, variations, claims, and change management.
• Experience managing subcontractor procurement and payment processes.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and final-account experience.
• Proven team-management and leadership capabilities.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

Salary, Benefits & Career Growth

Salary: Up to SAR 18,000 per month
