Job Overview

A consultancy project in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Field Engineer – Mechanical for a major roads infrastructure project with an expected duration of three years. The position is intended for professionals with substantial mechanical engineering experience and a background in consultancy, design review, and site supervision.

The successful candidate will contribute to mechanical engineering activities associated with roads infrastructure works, supporting design review, site supervision, technical coordination, and project execution. Key Responsibilities

• Perform field engineering activities for mechanical works associated with roads infrastructure projects.
• Review mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical input during project execution.
• Supervise mechanical works at site to ensure compliance with approved designs and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor site activities, technical progress, quality, and compliance.
• Identify technical issues and support timely resolution.
• Review relevant engineering documentation and provide recommendations where required.
• Ensure mechanical works comply with applicable project specifications, standards, and procedures.
• Maintain effective technical communication and coordination throughout project execution.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• More than 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Consultancy background is required.
• Strong experience in roads infrastructure works.
• Previous GCC experience is mandatory.
• Proven experience in design review.
• Demonstrated site supervision experience.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration is preferred but not necessarily required.
• Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project environment.
• This position is intended for an experienced Field Engineer and is not a senior management-level role.
