Job Overview

A leading global HVAC manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support mission-critical cooling solutions for data centers and other high-performance environments. This remote opportunity is suited to an electrical engineering professional with strong HVAC experience and hands-on knowledge of electrical control panels and mission-critical cooling equipment.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of advanced cooling systems, including CRAH, CRAC, AHU, fan walls, CDUs, and other mission-critical HVAC products. The position requires demonstrated ownership of UL 508A panel designs, including SCCR calculations in accordance with Supplement SB.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for mission-critical HVAC and cooling equipment.
• Take ownership of UL 508A control panel designs.
• Perform SCCR calculations in accordance with UL 508A Supplement SB.
• Support electrical engineering activities for data center cooling systems.
• Work with equipment including CRAH, CRAC, AHU, fan walls, CDUs, and related mission-critical HVAC products.
• Apply electrical engineering principles to HVAC equipment design and development.
• Support compliance with applicable electrical and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams.
• Contribute to the delivery of advanced cooling solutions for data center projects.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of professional Electrical Engineering experience within HVAC.
• Experience with data center cooling equipment such as CRAH, CRAC, AHU, fan walls, CDUs, or comparable mission-critical HVAC products.
• Demonstrated ownership of UL 508A panel designs.
• Strong knowledge of SCCR calculations per UL 508A Supplement SB.
• UL 508A MTR certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months.
• Strong electrical engineering and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 25–30%, including internationally.
• Valid passport required for international travel.
