Job Overview

Trags Engineering is hiring an experienced Senior HVAC Engineer in Doha, Qatar to support HVAC and MEP engineering and construction projects. This opportunity is suited to senior mechanical engineering professionals with 8–12 years of experience in HVAC/MEP engineering, construction, design, installation, testing, and commissioning.

The successful candidate will contribute to HVAC engineering activities across commercial, residential, hospitality, high-rise, and infrastructure MEP projects. Previous Qatar or GCC experience is preferred, providing candidates with relevant regional exposure to construction practices and building services requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems for building and infrastructure projects.
• Review HVAC engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Support HVAC installation activities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate HVAC engineering and construction activities.
• Conduct and support HVAC testing and commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve technical HVAC and MEP issues.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Ensure HVAC works comply with applicable engineering standards and project specifications.
• Support quality control and inspection activities.
• Monitor HVAC project progress and coordinate activities to support timely completion.
• Contribute to efficient and energy-conscious HVAC system solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Engineering.
• 8–12 years of professional experience in HVAC/MEP engineering and construction.
• Previous Qatar or GCC experience is preferred.
• Strong experience in one or more of the following:
  • Commercial projects
  • Residential projects
  • Hospitality projects
  • High-rise developments
  • Infrastructure MEP projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Good understanding of MEP engineering and building services.
• Strong technical coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant HVAC, mechanical engineering, or commissioning certifications are advantageous.
