Job Overview

A leading organization is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in high-rise construction projects in the UAE. The role is focused on quantity surveying, cost management, commercial administration, contract compliance, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), conducting quantity take-offs, monitoring project costs, evaluating variations and claims, managing payment applications, and supporting commercial decision-making. Strong knowledge of UAE construction contracts and commercial practices is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take-offs.
• Manage project costs and monitor budget performance.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Review and certify subcontractors’ payment applications.
• Prepare and submit interim payment applications to clients.
• Conduct cost analysis, project audits, and commercial performance reviews.
• Monitor project cash flow and prepare regular financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction contracts and contractual obligations.
• Support project teams in achieving commercial and financial objectives.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement appropriate cost-control measures.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders on commercial and cost-related matters.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Civil Quantity Surveyor on high-rise construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs.
• Proven experience handling variations, claims, and final account settlements.
• Expertise in subcontractor payment evaluation and interim payment applications.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction contracts and commercial practices.
• Understanding of cash flow management, cost control, and project auditing.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous UAE construction experience is highly preferred.
• Experience working on high-rise construction projects.
• Strong understanding of contractual and commercial risk management.
