Job Overview

A leading fit-out company is seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer – Civil, MEP & Joinery to support project estimation and tendering activities in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of UAE experience in fit-out estimation and strong knowledge of fit-out materials, construction methods, and relevant industry standards.

The role will involve reviewing project drawings, preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating quantities and materials, and supporting commercial and tendering activities across civil, MEP, and joinery scopes. Strong proficiency in estimation software and the ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, MEP, and joinery fit-out works.
• Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope requirements.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and material estimates.
• Evaluate fit-out materials, construction methods, and applicable industry standards.
• Utilize estimation tools such as MS Excel, CostX, PlanSwift, or similar software.
• Support tender preparation and commercial submissions.
• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations where required.
• Identify cost implications and potential commercial risks.
• Coordinate with internal project and technical teams during the estimation process.
• Apply strong analytical and numerical skills to ensure accurate estimates.
• Support negotiations and commercial discussions with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain organized estimation records and supporting documentation.
• Ensure estimates are prepared accurately and within required timelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3–4 years of UAE experience in fit-out estimation.
• Experience in estimation for Civil, MEP, and Joinery works.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimation and quantity take-off software, including:
  • MS Excel
  • CostX
  • PlanSwift
  • Similar estimation tools
• Ability to read and interpret:
  • Architectural drawings
  • Structural drawings
  • MEP drawings
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong negotiation and commercial awareness.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project and commercial teams.
• Immediate joining is preferred.
