Job Overview

Fanar Arabian International is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role is focused on commercial and cost management activities across construction projects, with particular emphasis on quantity surveying, project cost monitoring, variations, subcontractor payments, and interim payment certification.

The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining accurate project cost control and commercial performance by reviewing contracts, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and scopes of work. Experience in residential projects and villa construction is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quantities, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
• Prepare and assess project variations.
• Review and process subcontractor payment applications.
• Prepare and review interim payment certificates.
• Monitor project costs, quantities, and commercial performance.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Support cost estimation and project cost-control activities.
• Identify and evaluate commercial and quantity-related issues.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Consultants, and Subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate commercial and quantity-surveying documentation.
• Support effective financial and commercial management of construction projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
• Experience in residential projects and villa construction is preferred.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing variations.
• Experience with subcontractor payments and interim payment certificates.
• Strong understanding of project cost, quantity, and commercial performance monitoring.
• Experience reviewing contracts, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs and quantity take-off.
• Good knowledge of cost estimation and cost control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Project Managers, Consultants, and Subcontractors.
• Must be currently residing in Saudi Arabia.
