An opportunity is available for an experienced IT Project Manager – Cards & E-Payments in Doha, Qatar, supporting projects within the Banking and Financial Services sector. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end IT projects involving credit, debit, and prepaid cards, as well as ePayments, tokenization, digital wallets, and contactless payment solutions. The position requires a strong understanding of card lifecycle processes, payment ecosystems, PCI DSS compliance, testing, scheme certification, regulatory changes, and production rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end IT projects within Banking, Financial Services, Cards, and Payments.
• Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
• Manage projects involving credit cards, debit cards, and prepaid cards.
• Oversee activities across the card lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, settlement, disputes, chargebacks, and reconciliation.
• Support projects involving ePayments, tokenization, digital wallets, and contactless payments.
• Ensure project activities align with PCI DSS, card scheme mandates, certification requirements, and applicable compliance standards.
• Coordinate with banks, payment processors, gateways, card networks, merchants, and other ecosystem participants.
• Manage project stakeholders, vendors, dependencies, risks, issues, changes, and escalations.
• Coordinate testing activities and payment scheme certifications.
• Support implementation of regulatory and card-scheme changes.
• Coordinate production rollouts and ensure effective implementation.
• Monitor project progress, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and risks.
• Maintain effective communication across business, technology, vendor, and external stakeholder groups.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 8–10 years of IT Project Management experience.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Cards & Payments is strongly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience managing end-to-end IT projects.
• Good knowledge of:
  • Credit Cards
  • Debit Cards
  • Prepaid Cards
  • Card lifecycle management
  • Authorization
  • Clearing and settlement
  • Disputes and chargebacks
  • Reconciliation
• Experience with ePayments, tokenization, digital wallets, and contactless payments.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, card scheme mandates, certifications, and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of payment ecosystems involving banks, processors, gateways, card networks, and merchants.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
• Proven experience in risk, issue, dependency, change, and escalation management.
• Experience coordinating testing, scheme certification, regulatory changes, and production rollouts.
• PMP certification is required / strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and project management skills.
