Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer for a freelance engagement supporting software quality assurance and test automation activities. The opportunity is suitable for professionals with 7+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, and test automation.

The ideal candidate will have experience with test automation frameworks, with Java Selenium automation experience considered a strong advantage. Knowledge of lending or banking applications and experience working with PEGA-based applications will be particularly relevant to the role.

This remote contract provides an opportunity to contribute to enterprise technology projects while strengthening expertise in test automation, QA methodologies, DevOps practices, and banking application testing. Candidates must be European citizens and available for the specified contract duration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for enterprise applications.
• Implement and execute automated testing using appropriate test automation frameworks.
• Apply software testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts, particularly using Java and Selenium where applicable.
• Test applications and integrations to identify functional and technical issues.
• Collaborate with development, QA, business, and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support test planning, execution, defect identification, and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks.
• Apply DevOps practices where relevant to testing and quality assurance activities.
• Support testing of PEGA-based applications.
• Leverage banking or lending domain knowledge to improve test coverage and quality outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software testing, QA, or test engineering.
• Must be a European citizen.
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks.
• Java Selenium automation experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience with PEGA-based applications.
• Knowledge of lending or banking applications is advantageous.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA/Test certification.
• Exposure to DevOps practices is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
