Job Overview

We are seeking a technically strong IT Support Engineer to support construction projects and corporate IT infrastructure in Doha, Qatar. The position involves providing day-to-day technical support to office and site users while maintaining hardware, software, servers, networks, cybersecurity controls, and other critical IT infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience across server administration, networking, cybersecurity, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching. The role will also support ERP systems, project management platforms, and construction-specific applications across potentially multi-site project environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for office and site users.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
• Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues efficiently.
• Manage user accounts, email systems, and access controls.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers and network infrastructure.
• Maintain and support end-user computing systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks.
• Configure and manage VLANs, switches, and routers.
• Implement and maintain firewall configurations.
• Work with Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar firewall technologies.
• Configure and manage site-to-site and remote-access VPNs.
• Support ERP systems and project management applications.
• Provide technical support for construction-specific software and applications.
• Maintain IT documentation and asset inventories.
• Support IT security and compliance requirements.
• Provide on-site technical assistance when required.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve infrastructure and technical issues.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of IT support experience with strong infrastructure exposure.
• Hands-on experience in server administration.
• Strong networking experience.
• Practical cybersecurity experience.
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching.
• Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar technologies is beneficial.
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Experience in construction or multi-site project environments is a strong advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to provide on-site technical support when required.
