Job Overview

A project-based opportunity is available for an experienced Cloud Platform Security Engineer / Architect – Oracle OCI to support a KSA sovereign cloud security and compliance engagement. The role focuses on implementing and hardening Oracle Cloud Infrastructure security controls while translating regulatory and security requirements into practical cloud configurations.

The successful candidate will work across OCI Security Zones, Landing Zones, Cloud Guard, IAM, PAM, Vault, HSM, networking security, Data Safe, logging, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery controls. The role also involves supporting audit readiness and generating security evidence for regulated cloud environments.

This is a 2-month contract/project-based engagement suited to a senior cloud cybersecurity professional with extensive OCI implementation experience and strong knowledge of Saudi cybersecurity compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and harden OCI Security Zones and Landing Zones.
• Configure and optimize Oracle Cloud Guard and CSPM capabilities.
• Implement OCI IAM, PAM, MFA, least-privilege, and JIT access controls.
• Support Operator Access Control (OAC) workflows.
• Design and implement OCI Vault, HSM, and customer-managed/BYOK keys.
• Implement secure VCN, NSG, and network segmentation.
• Configure private endpoints, FastConnect, WAF, and DDoS protection.
• Implement OCI Data Safe for data discovery, masking, and activity auditing.
• Configure logging and monitoring and integrate with enterprise SIEM platforms.
• Support immutable audit logging and security evidence collection.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and failover/failback controls.
• Map implemented security controls to NCA CCC-2:2024, ECC, CST, and PDPL requirements.
• Support audit readiness and control-evidence generation.
• Prepare technical documentation and communicate security requirements with project stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 15+ years of overall IT, cloud, or cybersecurity experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Deep understanding of OCI security architecture and implementation.
• Experience with:
  • OCI Security Zones
  • Oracle Cloud Guard
  • OCI IAM
  • OCI Vault
  • OCI Data Safe
  • OCI networking security
• Strong understanding of cloud security controls, identity security, and data protection.
• Experience with security architecture, hardening, and cloud Landing Zones.
• Knowledge of NCA ECC/CCC, CST, and Saudi cybersecurity compliance is highly desirable.
• Experience in sovereign cloud or regulated environments is a strong advantage.
• Strong technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications.
• OCI Security Professional.
• CISSP or CCSP.
• Relevant Cloud Security/Cybersecurity certifications.
