Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to manage and maintain IT systems and infrastructure in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on Windows-based environments, system administration, virtualization, infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, security, backup, and system performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of operating systems and infrastructure while supporting virtualized environments, infrastructure and application monitoring, L2/L3 troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Windows-based IT systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems and infrastructure components.
• Manage and support virtualized systems and infrastructure.
• Monitor infrastructure and application performance.
• Perform L2/L3 technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system and infrastructure issues.
• Implement and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Monitor system availability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation solutions to improve system efficiency.
• Support infrastructure maintenance, optimization, and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with relevant technical teams to resolve infrastructure and application issues.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration and management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows-based environments.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems and IT infrastructure.
• Practical experience with virtual systems and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure and application performance monitoring.
• Strong L2/L3 troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience with security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Scripting and automation experience for improving system efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Technical certification from Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, or an equivalent recognized provider.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
