Job Overview

Gardinia Contracting is seeking an experienced Pre-Contract Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Dubai. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to major developments, including Azizi Riviera, Burj Azizi, and Azizi Venice, with a primary focus on pre-contract quantity surveying, tendering, cost planning, and commercial analysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing BOQs, conducting quantity take-offs, analyzing tender documentation, supporting cost planning, and contributing to value engineering and commercial assessments. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, tender documents, POMI, and labour productivity and cost analysis is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pre-contract quantity surveying activities for construction projects.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Review tender documents and identify commercial requirements.
• Support tendering and bid preparation activities.
• Develop and review project cost plans.
• Conduct value engineering assessments.
• Perform commercial and cost analysis.
• Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
• Review project specifications and contractual documentation.
• Apply POMI principles in quantity measurement and cost assessment.
• Analyze labour productivity and construction costs.
• Coordinate with project, design, procurement, and commercial teams.
• Maintain accurate pre-contract commercial documentation.
• Support informed commercial decision-making during the tender stage.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in Pre-Contract and Post-Contract Quantity Surveying.
• BE/B.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Planswift.
• Strong ability to interpret construction drawings.

• Previous experience in construction projects.
