Job Overview

Tangent International is seeking an experienced Back Office PS Core Engineer for an opportunity in Saudi Arabia. The role is focused on supporting and maintaining Ericsson Packet Switched (PS) Core, EPC, and 5G Core environments, with responsibility for troubleshooting, optimization, performance management, and operational support.

The successful candidate will work with Ericsson technologies including MME, EPG, PCC/PCG, SAPC, SMF/UPF, as well as core network protocols and 2G/3G/4G/5G call flows. Experience with cloud-native 5G Core environments and platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, VMware, and Docker will be valuable for supporting modern telecom infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide back-office operational support for Ericsson PS Core and 5G Core environments.
• Troubleshoot and optimize Ericsson EPC and 5G Core network components.
• Work with Ericsson MME, EPG, PCC/PCG, SAPC, SMF, and UPF technologies.
• Analyze and troubleshoot mobile broadband service performance issues.
• Support 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G core network call flows.
• Troubleshoot protocols including GTP, Diameter, HTTP/2, SIP, and SCTP.
• Perform network analysis and troubleshooting using ENM, ENIQ, Wireshark, and related tools.
• Support cloud-native 5G Core environments.
• Work with virtualization and container platforms including VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Develop and use Bash and Python scripts for automation and operational activities.
• Monitor and optimize network performance and KPIs.
• Investigate complex production issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to maintain reliable and high-performing PS Core infrastructure.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience

• 4–8 years of experience in PS Core, EPC, and/or 5G Core engineering.
• Experience working in an Ericsson environment is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Ericsson PS Core technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing EPC and 5G Core networks.
