Job Overview

A company in the UAE is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Ruckus Wireless, Enterprise Switching, and FortiGate Firewalls. The role is focused on enterprise network infrastructure, wireless connectivity, firewall administration, network security, troubleshooting, and operational support.

The successful candidate will work with Ruckus SmartZone, Ruckus Cloud, RUCKUS One, or Unleashed environments, alongside FortiGate firewalls and enterprise switching technologies. The position also involves wireless troubleshooting, RF optimization, site surveys, VPN, SD-WAN, network security, incident management, vendor coordination, and network projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
• Administer Ruckus Wireless environments, including SmartZone, Ruckus Cloud, RUCKUS One, and Unleashed.
• Configure and manage FortiGate firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPN, routing, and high availability.
• Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 enterprise switching environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLAN, DHCP, DNS, 802.1X, and RADIUS services.
• Perform wireless troubleshooting, RF optimization, and site surveys.
• Support IPsec VPN, SD-WAN, and network security requirements.
• Use Wireshark, network logs, and wireless logs to diagnose technical issues.
• Handle network incidents, changes, vendors, and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain network reliability, security, and operational performance.
• Support implementation and documentation of network changes and projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on enterprise networking experience.
• Strong practical experience with Ruckus Wireless technologies.
• Experience with SmartZone, Ruckus Cloud, RUCKUS One, or Unleashed.
• Strong FortiGate firewall administration experience.
• Knowledge of firewall policies, NAT, VPN, routing, and HA.
• Strong Layer 2/Layer 3 switching experience with Cisco, Aruba, HPE, Dell, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong knowledge of VLAN, DHCP, DNS, 802.1X, and RADIUS.
• Experience in wireless troubleshooting, RF optimization, and site surveys.
• Knowledge of IPsec VPN, SD-WAN, and network security.
• Experience using Wireshark and network/wireless logs for troubleshooting.
• Experience handling network incidents, changes, vendors, and projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or an equivalent field.
• UAE driving licence is preferred.

Salary, Benefits & Career Growth

Salary: AED 6,000 per month.
