Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technical Office Engineer to join a construction and contracting environment in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on technical office activities including shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, technical documentation, as-built drawings, and coordination of architectural works with multiple engineering disciplines.
The successful candidate will work closely with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to resolve technical issues and ensure architectural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and project quality requirements. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, architectural construction details, IFC drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contract documentation is essential, while Revit/BIM knowledge is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings and detailed architectural drawings.
- Prepare and review as-built drawings with site teams.
- Review IFC drawings, tender drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare and submit material submittals and technical documentation for approval.
- Prepare, issue, and follow up on RFIs and technical clarifications.
- Prepare and review method statements for architectural works.
- Prepare and review technical submittals and compliance sheets.
- Review architectural drawings for constructability, coordination, and compliance.
- Coordinate architectural works with Structural, MEP, Civil, and other disciplines.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
- Review BOQ items, specifications, and drawings for project alignment.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and supporting technical information when required.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Follow up on material approvals, shop drawing approvals, RFIs, and technical submissions.
- Review subcontractor and supplier drawings and technical submissions.
- Provide technical support to site teams for architectural construction issues.
- Ensure architectural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and quality requirements.
- Maintain drawing registers, submittal logs, technical documentation, and revision control.
- Participate in technical meetings and coordinate follow-up actions.
- Support design changes, variations, and value engineering proposals when required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
- Proven experience in a Technical Office role within the construction or contracting industry.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of architectural construction details, materials, finishes, and construction methods.
