Job Overview

A leading Oil & Gas LNG operating company in Qatar is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor – Piping / Structure for a major offshore construction project. The position will support the construction and execution of offshore riser and wellhead platforms, stalk-on risers, cables and FO lines, as well as tie-ins and modifications to existing offshore platforms.

The successful candidate will provide strong technical and construction leadership during offshore execution, particularly across Hook Up, Brownfield execution, SIMOPS, and shutdown preparation and execution. The role requires substantial knowledge of piping and structural construction activities and the ability to drive EPC contractors and subcontractors toward safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.

This is a long-term offshore opportunity with an initial 36-month contract and possible extension, providing significant exposure to major LNG and offshore construction activities. The 28-days-on / 28-days-off rotation provides a structured offshore working arrangement, while relevant technical training and professional certifications can support continued career growth in offshore construction and Oil & Gas.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise offshore piping and structural construction activities.
• Lead and coordinate construction execution during Hook Up and Brownfield activities.
• Drive EPC contractors and subcontractors toward efficient offshore execution.
• Support SIMOPS activities and coordinate construction work around existing operating facilities.
• Participate in shutdown preparation and execution activities.
• Supervise construction, installation, fabrication, completion, and hook-up activities.
• Monitor work execution against approved project drawings, specifications, procedures, and schedules.
• Ensure construction activities comply with applicable design standards, codes, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate offshore construction activities with engineering, commissioning, operations, and project teams.
• Identify construction risks and support appropriate mitigation measures.
• Review construction methodologies and execution approaches.
• Support safe execution of activities associated with offshore facilities and structures.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance.
• Support resolution of technical and construction-related issues.
• Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders throughout offshore execution.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in large offshore construction projects.
• Strong experience in offshore construction disciplines including construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, and hook-up.
• Strong Piping and Structural technical experience.
• Proven experience driving EPC contractors and subcontractors during offshore execution.
• Experience with Hook Up, Brownfield execution, and SIMOPS.
• Experience with shutdown preparation and execution.
• Strong knowledge of design standards, specifications, applicable codes, and safety criteria.
• Knowledge of fabrication, transportation, installation, Brownfield execution, commissioning, and hook-up activities.
• Knowledge of offshore facilities, structures, and relevant operations.
• Understanding of execution methods and associated risks for sour gas and LNG production facilities.
• Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an offshore environment.
