Job Overview

CIS College – Kirkuk Branch is seeking a qualified and experienced Cyber Security Teacher to join its academic team. The position is suitable for cybersecurity professionals with practical industry experience, teaching experience, or a combination of both, who can deliver high-quality cybersecurity education to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Explain complex cybersecurity concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Prepare teaching materials, presentations, exercises, and practical learning activities.
• Assess student understanding and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students in developing practical cybersecurity skills.
• Stay current with developments in cybersecurity technologies, threats, tools, and industry practices.
• Incorporate relevant industry knowledge and practical examples into teaching.

• Support both on-campus and online learning requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in:
  • Cyber Security
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • A related field
• Practical and/or teaching experience in cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of networking.
• Strong understanding of ethical hacking.
• Knowledge of information security principles.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to teach effectively in an on-campus or online environment.
• Strong technical and instructional abilities.

Preferred Certifications

Relevant industry certifications are an advantage, including:

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• CCNA Security
• Other recognized cybersecurity certifications
