VPS Elite Human Resources Consultancies LLC is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join its client’s IT team in Dubai. The position is suitable for professionals with 3–5 years of hands-on database administration experience and strong technical knowledge of enterprise database environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for database installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, backup and recovery, replication, performance tuning, security, and troubleshooting. Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases is required, along with the ability to monitor database performance, availability, and capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database systems.
  • Administer Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL database environments.
  • Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and health.
  • Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Manage database backup and recovery processes.
  • Support database replication and disaster recovery activities.
  • Troubleshoot database performance and operational issues.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Strong experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases.
  • Expertise in database installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and stored procedures.
  • Strong database troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience monitoring database performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Strong understanding of database security, access control, and permissions.
  • Knowledge of high availability and clustering is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • UAE-based candidates are preferred.
