Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize cybersecurity detection use cases.
• Engineer and tune SIEM correlation rules and detection logic.
• Work with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), SPL and/or FortiSIEM.
• Analyze and address detection gaps across security monitoring environments.
• Apply the MITRE ATT&CK framework to strengthen detection capabilities.
• Reduce false positives while maintaining effective threat detection.
• Develop IOC- and TTP-based detection mechanisms.
• Incorporate threat intelligence into detection engineering processes.
• Manage detection use cases throughout their lifecycle.
• Analyze security events and identify opportunities to improve monitoring coverage.
• Support SOC teams with advanced detection engineering capabilities.
• Contribute to security monitoring improvements across complex or multi-customer environments.
• Maintain and improve detection engineering documentation and processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or IT Security.
• 3+ years of experience in Detection Engineering, SIEM Engineering, or a Senior SOC role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) / SPL and/or FortiSIEM.
• Proven experience developing and tuning SIEM detection use cases and correlation rules.
• Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience with detection gap analysis and false-positive reduction.
• Experience with Threat Intelligence and IOC/TTP-based detections.
• Knowledge of detection lifecycle management.
• MSSP or multi-customer SOC experience is preferred.
• Relevant Security or SIEM certifications are an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Salary, Benefits & Career Growth

Salary: QAR 17,000 per month
