Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer for projects in Saudi Arabia. The role covers the complete project lifecycle, including construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup, with a strong focus on field engineering activities within operating plants and project execution environments.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience with Yokogawa and ABB DCS systems, along with knowledge of Siemens DCS, hazardous area classification, analytical systems, and plant operations. The position requires a practical field-oriented approach and the ability to manage I&C responsibilities effectively during construction and startup phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Cover the full project lifecycle from construction through pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup.
• Manage field I&C responsibilities across operating plants and construction/startup phases.
• Support instrumentation and control activities during project execution and commissioning.
• Perform minor logic modifications at site when required.
• Develop and modify control system graphics at site as necessary.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues during commissioning and startup.
• Coordinate with project, commissioning, construction, and operations teams.
• Support DCS-related activities and ensure effective system functionality.
• Apply appropriate hazardous-area requirements during field activities.
• Support analytical system-related activities.
• Maintain effective technical coordination and field documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Yokogawa DCS systems.
• Hands-on experience with ABB DCS systems.
• Experience with Siemens DCS.
• Strong background working in operating plants.
• Experience across construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup.
• Good understanding of hazardous area classification and associated requirements.
• Experience with analytical systems.
• Ability to perform minor control logic modifications and graphic development at site.
• Strong field troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in demanding project and site environments.
