Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join a technology team in Romania on a fully remote basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements and translating business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories.

The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and Product Owners throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will contribute to requirements clarification, solution design, testing, User Acceptance Testing, requirements traceability, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and user stories.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and Product Owners.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and clarification sessions.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support solution design and technical discussions.
• Support software testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Define and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate functional specifications and project documentation.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure business requirements are correctly implemented.
• Assist with issue clarification and resolution during development and testing.
• Support Agile/Scrum project activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering and analysis.
• Strong process analysis and functional documentation capabilities.
• Excellent SQL knowledge and experience working with databases.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience using project collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of software development and project delivery processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse environments.
• Understanding of APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with UML or BPMN.
• Experience using process modeling tools.
• Experience working on complex technology transformation or enterprise application projects.
