Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Lead specializing in card issuing and payment technology to join a banking or financial services environment in Abu Dhabi. The position is suited to professionals with approximately 7+ years of relevant experience across banking technology, card issuing, payment systems, or card processing.

The role will involve leading card technology initiatives, working with issuer-side card systems and Card Management Systems, and coordinating multiple vendors and stakeholders. The successful candidate will also contribute to business analysis, requirements gathering, BRD preparation, process mapping, UAT support, production support, incident investigation, change management, and release coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate IT technology initiatives related to card issuing and payment systems.
• Work hands-on with issuer-side card systems and Card Management Systems.
• Coordinate card technology projects across internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Gather and analyze business and technical requirements.
• Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
• Perform process mapping and support business analysis activities.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Provide production support for card issuing and payment technology systems.
• Investigate production incidents and coordinate appropriate resolution activities.
• Support change management and release coordination.
• Collaborate with technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and financial institutions.
• Monitor project deliverables and coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of card technology solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in banking technology, card issuing, payment systems, or card processing.
• Strong hands-on experience with issuer-side card systems and Card Management Systems.
• Experience working with a bank, card issuer, processor, payment technology provider, or financial institution.
• Proven experience delivering card technology projects.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder coordination experience.
• Experience with requirements gathering and business analysis.
• Experience preparing BRDs and performing process mapping.
• Experience supporting UAT activities.
• Experience with production support and incident investigation.
• Knowledge of change management and release coordination.
• UAE banking and card issuing experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
