Job Overview

Kinetics Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimation Engineer to join its team in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. This full-time opportunity is designed for an early-career engineering professional with 1–2 years of experience in estimation, sheet metal fabrication, steel fabrication, manufacturing, or related engineering activities.

The successful candidate will support cost estimation, material planning, technical documentation, supplier coordination, and cost optimization across fabrication and engineering projects. The role provides practical exposure to engineering drawings, Bills of Quantities, material take-offs, manufacturing calculations, procurement, and production coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates, material take-offs, and Bills of Quantities.
• Assist with sheet metal nesting plans and manufacturing cost calculations.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Prepare commercial comparisons and estimation reports.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and planning teams.
• Maintain technical documents, project records, and quotation files.
• Support cost optimization and efficient material utilization.
• Assist with project-related estimation and commercial documentation.
• Support accurate and timely preparation of project quotations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant estimation or manufacturing experience.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal and steel fabrication processes.
• Experience with BOQs, material take-offs, and supplier enquiries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with sheet metal nesting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
