Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Officer – Export & Import Operations to manage end-to-end international shipping and logistics activities in Doha, Qatar. This is a long-term opportunity, with immediate joiners preferred, and is suited to professionals with strong experience in export/import logistics, shipping, customs clearance, and international trade within a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will coordinate containerized shipments, shipping documentation, freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and transportation providers. The role requires strong knowledge of Qatar Customs regulations, Incoterms, international trade compliance, freight forwarding, and global logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end export and import operations across international markets.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
• Maintain compliance with Qatar Customs regulations, trade requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and transport providers.
• Prepare, review, and manage shipping and trade documentation, including:
  • Bill of Lading (B/L)
  • Certificate of Origin (COO)
  • EPC
  • BAL
  • Commercial Invoices
  • Packing Lists
• Oversee high-volume container shipments, including scheduling, tracking, and delivery monitoring.
• Monitor shipment performance and ensure on-time delivery.
• Optimize freight costs, container utilization, shipping routes, and logistics processes.
• Resolve customs clearance, demurrage, detention, cargo damage, and shipment delay issues.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, production, and sales teams to maintain uninterrupted supply chain operations.
• Monitor international shipments and proactively address potential delays.
• Maintain accurate logistics and shipment records.
• Support continuous improvement of export/import processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in export/import logistics, shipping, and international trade operations.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Logistics
  • Supply Chain Management
  • International Trade
  • Business Administration
  • Related field
• Proven experience managing high-volume containerized shipments across international trade routes.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar Customs regulations and customs clearance procedures.
• Strong understanding of import/export compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience managing B/L, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COO, EPC, BAL, and related shipping documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms and international trade regulations.
• Understanding of freight forwarding and global logistics operations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, shipment tracking platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong negotiation, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in lubricant or petrochemical manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
