A leading banking environment in Fujairah, UAE is seeking an experienced Manager – Database Administration to oversee critical database infrastructure and ensure high levels of performance, security, availability, and resilience. The position is suited to an experienced IT professional with strong banking-sector Database Administration experience and expertise across enterprise database platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing database operations across Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and DB2, with specific experience in T24 Core Banking environments. Strong knowledge of 24/7 operations, disaster recovery, database security, and performance management is essential for maintaining reliable banking technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage critical enterprise database infrastructure supporting banking operations.
• Lead database administration activities across Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and DB2 environments.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and reliability.
• Ensure database security and compliance with organizational requirements.
• Manage database capacity, performance, and operational health.
• Support 24/7 database operations and critical production environments.
• Develop, maintain, and test database disaster recovery processes.
• Support business continuity and high-availability requirements.
• Manage database backup, recovery, and restoration processes.
• Troubleshoot complex database performance and operational issues.
• Support T24 Core Banking database environments.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in banking DBA roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • DB2
• Proven T24 Core Banking experience.
• Strong experience managing 24/7 database operations.
• Practical experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) environments and processes.
• Strong database security management knowledge.
• Strong database performance management and optimization skills.
• Experience supporting critical production database environments.
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage database infrastructure in a demanding banking environment.

Salary, Benefits & Career Growth

Salary: Up to AED 18,000 per month.
