Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman to support mechanical drafting and technical documentation activities in Qatar. The position is suitable for professionals with 3+ years of GCC experience, particularly candidates with experience in the construction industry and a strong understanding of mechanical drawings and layouts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining accurate mechanical drawings using AutoCAD. Strong technical drafting skills and the ability to interpret project requirements are essential for supporting effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed mechanical drawings and layouts.
• Create and modify technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Update drawings based on engineering changes and project revisions.
• Coordinate mechanical drawings with other project disciplines.
• Review drawings for technical accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawing revisions.
• Support engineers and project teams with required drafting deliverables.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable project standards and specifications.
• Assist with the preparation of construction and technical documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of GCC experience in mechanical drafting.
• Relevant professional experience as a Mechanical Draftsman.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings and layouts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• GCC and/or construction industry experience.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing principles.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Valid Qatar ID (QID) is mandatory.
