Job Overview

We are seeking a senior or mid-level Project Manager – Wholesale Projects with extensive banking and technology experience to lead end-to-end project delivery in the UAE. The role requires strong project management capabilities, experience with C-level and senior management reporting, and the ability to coordinate IT and business steering committees.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the UAE banking sector, particularly across Payments and Core Banking projects. Experience with core banking platforms, limit management systems, trade, treasury, and payment platforms will be relevant to the role. A strong technical background with knowledge of cloud technologies and ETL tools is also required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of wholesale banking and technology projects.
• Manage project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Coordinate with business, IT, and senior management stakeholders.
• Prepare and present project updates to C-level executives and IT/Business Steering Committees.
• Manage project scope, timelines, resources, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate projects involving Payments and Core Banking platforms.
• Support projects involving core platforms, limit management systems, trade, treasury, and payment platforms.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable regulatory, compliance, and internal control requirements.
• Incorporate relevant SWIFT, KYC/AML, and banking compliance requirements into project delivery.
• Coordinate with compliance, risk, cybersecurity, business, and technology teams.
• Ensure project activities align with applicable CBUAE and FATF requirements.
• Support implementation of cybersecurity standards and controls.
• Apply technical knowledge to projects involving cloud technologies, ETL tools, and enterprise IT systems.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
• Maintain project governance, documentation, and reporting standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of banking experience.
• 6–7 years of experience with UAE-based banks is preferable.
• Senior or mid-level project management experience with end-to-end project delivery.
• Experience reporting to C-level senior management and IT/Business Steering Committees.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Banking sector experience in the UAE, particularly in Payments and Core Banking.
• Experience with one or more of the following is an advantage:

• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with:
