Job Overview

China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC UAE) is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its construction and infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and commercial performance.
• Prepare Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports.
• Conduct progress valuations and payment assessments.
• Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC conditions.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims and variations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and commercial records.
• Support cost forecasting and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 7+ years of UAE/GCC construction industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
• Experience preparing BOQs, CVRs, and progress valuations.
• Proficiency in CostX, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple commercial activities simultaneously.
