Job Overview

A long-term Ashghal infrastructure project in Al Rayyan, Qatar is seeking 10 experienced Safety Officers (HSE) to support health, safety, and environmental activities across roads and infrastructure works. The role is suited to HSE professionals with a minimum of four years of relevant project experience and strong knowledge of construction safety practices.

The successful candidates will contribute to maintaining safe working conditions across infrastructure project activities, supporting compliance with applicable HSE requirements, and identifying and addressing workplace safety risks. Previous GCC experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Support HSE activities across roads and infrastructure construction works.
• Monitor site activities to identify potential health and safety hazards.
• Promote compliance with project HSE procedures and requirements.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections.
• Identify unsafe conditions and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Support implementation of safety procedures and risk-control measures.
• Follow up on safety observations and corrective actions.
• Promote safe working practices among project personnel and contractors.
• Assist with HSE documentation, inspections, and reporting.
• Coordinate with project teams regarding health and safety requirements.
• Support incident prevention and workplace safety initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of applicable construction safety standards and procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in roads or infrastructure projects.
• GCC experience is preferred.
• NEBOSH IGC – Mandatory.
• IOSH – Required.
• MOFA-attested Degree – Mandatory.
• Relevant experience in construction HSE and site safety.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a construction project environment.
