Job Overview

A leading banking client in Dubai is seeking an experienced Security Engineer – Application & Cloud Security to strengthen its cybersecurity team. This opportunity is ideal for cybersecurity professionals with expertise in application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, and secure architecture who are passionate about protecting enterprise banking systems and digital platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for securing web, mobile, API, and cloud environments while collaborating with development and DevOps teams to implement secure software development practices. Key Responsibilities

• Perform web, mobile, and API penetration testing.
• Conduct secure code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and threat modeling.
• Implement and manage SAST, DAST, SCA, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and container security tools.
• Integrate security controls throughout the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (Secure SDLC).
• Automate security processes within CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps practices.
• Secure cloud environments hosted on AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Protect Kubernetes, Docker, and container runtime environments.
• Participate in security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and incident response activities.
• Develop security automation scripts using Python and Bash.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and business teams to improve enterprise security posture.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 7–12 years of experience in application security, cloud security, or cybersecurity engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in web, mobile, and API penetration testing.
• Expertise in secure code review, vulnerability assessment, and threat modeling.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and container security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD security automation, and Secure SDLC.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and container runtime security.
• Experience with security architecture, risk assessments, and incident response.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for security automation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Candidates must currently be based in the United Arab Emirates.
