Job Overview

DAOUD Construction is expanding its project team for a new construction project in SODIC – New Heliopolis and is seeking an experienced Senior Civil QS Engineer to join the project from its early stages. The role focuses on civil quantity surveying, cost control, quantity measurement, and project commercial documentation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting accurate quantity assessment and project cost management through BOQs, quantity take-offs, variations, valuations, and drawing reviews. Strong knowledge of civil construction works and practical experience with construction projects are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform civil quantity surveying activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and measurements.
• Review construction drawings and extract relevant quantities.
• Monitor and assess project variations.
• Prepare and review valuations.
• Support project cost control and cost management activities.
• Maintain accurate quantity surveying and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with project and construction teams regarding quantities and measurements.
• Review civil construction works against project requirements.
• Support accurate cost assessment and commercial reporting.
• Contribute to effective project cost management from the early stages of the project.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Strong knowledge of Civil Quantity Surveying and Cost Control.
• Proficiency in:
  • BOQs
  • Quantity take-offs
  • Variations
  • Valuations
• Experience reviewing construction drawings and preparing accurate quantity measurements.
• Good understanding of civil construction works.
• Knowledge of project cost management.
• Previous experience working on construction projects is required.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
