Job Overview

KEO is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Infrastructure team, based in Bangalore, India, with the opportunity to work remotely subject to the company’s geographic eligibility requirements. The role focuses on electrical infrastructure design across different project design stages, supporting the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions for complex infrastructure projects.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for power distribution, street lighting, telecom infrastructure duct routing, technical reviews, multidisciplinary coordination, and design approvals. The position also involves managing the discipline team, guiding junior engineers and CAD/BIM technicians, and maintaining high technical quality throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review medium- and low-voltage power distribution infrastructure designs.
  • Prepare and review street lighting and lighting infrastructure designs.
  • Prepare and review telecom infrastructure duct routing designs.
  • Ensure engineering calculations comply with applicable authority standards and codes of practice.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Guide CAD Technicians and BIM Technicians in the preparation of drawings and models.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and other project deliverables.
  • Manage the electrical engineering discipline team.
  • Monitor technical quality and ensure project deliverables meet engineering standards and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to achieve fully integrated designs.
  • Liaise with clients and authority representatives to obtain required design approvals.
  • Provide electrical engineering input for technical proposals submitted to external parties.
  • Support project design development across different stages of infrastructure delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • More than 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience in electrical infrastructure design.
  • Experience with power distribution systems, including medium- and low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Experience in street lighting design and telecom infrastructure duct routing.
  • Experience with Dialux, ETAP, or other power systems software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of BIM and Autodesk Civil 3D is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Professional institution membership is desirable.
