Job Overview

Pioneer Engineering Consultancy LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its team in Jeddah and contribute to major infrastructure and mega projects across Saudi Arabia. The role is designed for an electrical engineering professional with extensive experience in electrical design and large-scale project environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical design activities covering MV/LV networks, substations, transformers, switchgear, power distribution, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems. Strong knowledge of Saudi and international standards, together with proficiency in industry-standard engineering software, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical designs for infrastructure and mega projects.
• Design and coordinate MV/LV networks, substations, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
• Develop lighting, earthing, and lightning protection system designs.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, design reports, and electrical calculations.
• Perform electrical system studies and calculations using appropriate engineering tools.
• Ensure designs comply with SEC, SBC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable project standards.
• Coordinate electrical designs with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Review technical requirements and ensure design deliverables meet project specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, project stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines.
• Support technical resolution of design and coordination issues.
• Maintain high standards of engineering quality and technical compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in electrical design.
• Proven experience with infrastructure and mega projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • MV/LV networks
  • Substations
  • Transformers
  • Switchgear
  • Power distribution
  • Lighting systems
  • Earthing systems
  • Lightning protection systems
• Strong knowledge of SEC, SBC, IEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards.
• Proficiency in:
  • ETAP
  • DIALux evo
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit MEP
  • Navisworks
• Experience preparing drawings, BOQs, specifications, design reports, and electrical calculations.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and communication skills.
• Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
