Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior F5 Engineer with Palo Alto Experience to support network engineering, application delivery, traffic management, and network security initiatives in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with F5 BIG-IP technologies and proven experience configuring and operating Palo Alto firewalls in production environments.

The role will involve supporting critical application delivery infrastructure, load balancing, traffic management, SSL/TLS, network security, and Azure networking integration. The successful candidate will work on complex production environments and contribute to maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing application delivery services.

This is a 6-month to 1-year contract, extendable, providing opportunities to develop further expertise in F5, Palo Alto, application delivery, cloud networking, and enterprise network security. Candidates with relevant F5 and Palo Alto certifications will be particularly well suited to the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, operate, and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP application delivery solutions.
• Manage F5 BIG-IP LTM, GTM, and ASM/Advanced WAF environments.
• Configure and operate Palo Alto firewalls in production environments.
• Support load balancing and application traffic management requirements.
• Manage SSL and TLS configurations across application delivery environments.
• Troubleshoot complex network and application delivery issues.
• Apply network security principles to enterprise infrastructure.
• Work with routing, switching, and core network protocols.
• Support the integration of application delivery infrastructure with Azure networking.
• Analyze and resolve production-level network and application delivery incidents.
• Maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing network and application delivery environments.
• Collaborate with technical teams to support infrastructure improvements and operational requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network and application delivery engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP.
• Proven experience with:
  • F5 LTM
  • F5 GTM
  • F5 ASM / Advanced WAF
• Proven hands-on experience configuring and operating Palo Alto firewalls.
• Deep understanding of:
  • Load balancing
  • Traffic management
  • SSL/TLS
  • Application delivery
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security principles.
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex network and application delivery issues in production environments.
• F5 certifications, such as F5 Certified Technology Specialist, are preferred.
• Palo Alto certifications, such as PCNSE, are preferred.
• Experience integrating application delivery solutions with Azure networking.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Candidates must be locally available in Qatar.
