Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced PL/SQL Developer for a 12-month on-site assignment in Qatar. The position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in SQL and PL/SQL programming, with strong knowledge of advanced SQL concepts and Oracle database technologies.

The successful candidate will develop high-performance database solutions, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and work with large-volume databases. The role includes developing PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, external tables, batch-processing programs, and reporting solutions while maintaining quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance SQL and PL/SQL programs.
• Translate business requirements into efficient technical database solutions.
• Develop PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and external tables.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
• Develop solutions for large-volume databases and data extraction requirements.
• Build batch-processing programs and database jobs.
• Develop flat-file and Excel-based reports using PL/SQL.
• Write optimized, high-performance SQL queries and database programs.
• Analyze database performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Ensure data extraction programs deliver accurate results with minimal turnaround time.
• Work with Oracle database environments and enterprise data solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Maintain quality, reliability, and performance across database solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience.
• Strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and programming skills.
• Good knowledge of Oracle 12c / 19c.
• Strong hands-on PL/SQL development experience.
• Experience developing:

• Strong knowledge of database performance optimization and tuning.
• Experience handling large-volume databases.
• Experience developing data extraction programs.
• Experience with batch-processing programs and database jobs.

• Strong ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Airline revenue accounting domain experience is an additional advantage.
