Job Overview

Dicetek is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer – Azure Focus to support the design and engineering of production-ready Azure AI platforms and cloud-native infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on building modular platform capabilities, defining secure architecture standards, and developing reusable services that enable application teams to consume enterprise AI capabilities efficiently.

The successful candidate will work extensively with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, AI Search, Document Intelligence, AKS, Azure Container Apps, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Azure API Management, Kong, identity, and private networking. The position also involves establishing infrastructure-as-code patterns, policy-as-code controls, self-service provisioning, observability, SRE practices, and secure deployment architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy production-ready modular Azure AI platform capabilities.
• Define platform boundaries, service contracts, tenancy patterns, scaling models, and secure integration standards.
• Build shared AI capabilities as standardized platform products.
• Standardize access to Azure OpenAI, AI Search, Document Intelligence, and AI agent/tool orchestration capabilities.
• Develop APIs, SDKs, templates, and reference implementations for application teams.
• Design reusable Terraform modules and standardized infrastructure patterns.
• Implement infrastructure with network, identity, security, tagging, and observability controls built in by default.
• Develop policy-as-code and automated validation for cloud deployments.
• Enforce naming standards, approved SKUs, network isolation, and compliance requirements through automated controls.
• Provide self-service infrastructure provisioning through GitHub Actions and platform APIs.
• Operate AI orchestration as an enterprise platform capability.
• Manage service contracts, reusable patterns, release management, platform documentation, and onboarding processes.
• Engineer production runtimes on AKS and Azure Container Apps for APIs, AI agents, MCP servers, and asynchronous workloads.
• Manage API lifecycles using Azure API Management and Kong.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance service connectivity.
• Apply observability and SRE practices across platform environments.
• Translate security, risk, and compliance requirements into automated platform controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with the Azure Cloud Platform.
• 5+ years of relevant platform engineering experience as stated for the position.
• Expert-level knowledge of Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Experience designing modular infrastructure and automated testing and promotion workflows.
• Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI Service.
• Expert knowledge of network architecture, including VNETs, peering, firewalls, and Private Link.
• Hands-on experience with Azure API Management or Kong.
• Proven ability to design professional cloud architectures and provide Solutions Architecture guidance.
• Deep hands-on expertise with:
