Job Overview

A leading developer of large-scale data center infrastructure in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer to join its Design and Project Development team. The position will support hyperscale data center projects across electrical design, technical due diligence, consultant coordination, construction, and commissioning.

The role requires strong expertise in mission-critical electrical infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and other critical power systems. The successful candidate will work across the project lifecycle, providing technical input during design reviews, technical submissions, construction/site activities, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering activities for hyperscale data center projects.
• Review electrical designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical input during project development and design stages.
• Conduct and support technical due diligence activities.
• Coordinate with electrical consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Review technical submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support the development and review of MV/LV electrical distribution systems.
• Review and coordinate mission-critical power systems, including UPS, generators, and switchgear.
• Provide technical support during construction and site activities.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of critical electrical systems.
• Identify technical risks, design issues, and potential project constraints.
• Support resolution of electrical engineering issues throughout project delivery.
• Ensure electrical systems meet applicable technical, quality, reliability, and project requirements.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of data center projects within agreed technical and project objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience working on data center or other critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems used in mission-critical environments.
• Experience with MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, and critical power systems.
• Strong AutoCAD capability is required.
• Experience across design reviews and technical submissions.
• Experience with construction/site works and commissioning is highly relevant.
• Middle East or Saudi Arabia (KSA) experience is preferred.
• Strong technical coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project development teams.
• Saudi Nationals are preferred but not essential.
