Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Scheduler to lead the development, management, and monitoring of project schedules for design and construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role will focus on baseline planning, schedule updates, progress measurement, critical-path analysis, forecasting, delay analysis, and change management.

The Senior Scheduler will work closely with project teams, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to maintain accurate schedules and provide reliable schedule forecasts and status reporting. The position will also provide guidance to Schedulers and Junior Schedulers while supporting their professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of project baseline schedules.
  • Prepare, maintain, update, and review cost- and resource-loaded Primavera P6 schedules.
  • Maintain project progress measurement, monitoring, and reporting systems.
  • Lead weekly and monthly project schedule updates.
  • Maintain procurement plans, design and submittal schedules, and physical progress reports.
  • Develop and maintain critical-path logic networks and schedule presentations.
  • Analyze project status against approved baselines and provide schedule forecasts.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and self-performed resource performance.
  • Develop schedule adjustments, alternative sequences, and recovery plans.
  • Assess the impact of design changes, construction delays, disruptions, and external factors.
  • Prepare and communicate schedule-status reports to stakeholders and clients.
  • Provide guidance and professional development support to Schedulers and Junior Schedulers.
  • Support scheduling procedures, templates, standard schedules, and training materials.
  • Participate in project schedule review meetings and provide specialist scheduling support.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in scheduling, project controls, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and professional integrity.
  • Ability to collaborate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle confidential project and financial information.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate as required.

Technical Skills & Preferred Experience

  • PMI, AACE, or similar professional certification is an advantage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with Procore, Unifier, or similar project management systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 EPPM or Oracle Primavera Cloud.
  • ASSTA or Microsoft Project experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Primavera Risk, Acumen 360, or similar schedule-risk analysis tools.
  • Experience with large industrial construction projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of resource loading, Time Impact Analysis, delay/disruption analysis, and change management.
  • Cost estimating or cost-control experience is an advantage.
