Job Overview

Grupo Middle East is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Site Engineer – Utilities to join its team in Qatar on an immediate basis. The position is suited to an engineering professional with a minimum of 10 years of overall experience, including at least 7 years in a similar Site Engineer – Utilities role.

The successful candidate will contribute to utilities-related site engineering activities, supporting project execution, technical coordination, site supervision, and compliance with project requirements. Previous PWA approval is preferred, while a valid UPDA Certification is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate utilities-related site engineering activities.
• Monitor project execution to ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Review technical drawings, documents, and site requirements.
• Monitor construction progress and identify technical issues requiring attention.
• Support the implementation of approved engineering and construction procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure work is completed according to required standards.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate utilities works with other project disciplines.
• Support timely resolution of technical and site-related issues.
• Ensure site activities comply with applicable project requirements and standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar Site Engineer – Utilities role.
• Previous PWA Approval is preferred.
• Valid UPDA Certification is mandatory.
• Must currently be based in Qatar.
• Valid QID is mandatory.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
• Strong technical, coordination, and site-management skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
