Job Overview

A Site Maintenance Engineer opportunity is available in Kuwait for experienced Electrical Engineering professionals with strong expertise in substation maintenance and high-voltage electrical systems. The employer is seeking 16 qualified professionals to support site maintenance and electrical infrastructure operations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, and hands-on expertise with substations up to 400 kV, EHV, HV and LV equipment, SF6 GIS, power transformers, and battery systems. Candidates must also meet the specified Kuwait Bachelor Standard and age requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute electrical maintenance activities at site level.
• Perform maintenance and operational activities for substations up to 400 kV.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot EHV, HV, and LV electrical equipment.
• Carry out SF6 GIS maintenance activities.
• Support power transformer inspection and maintenance.
• Maintain and monitor battery systems.
• Take responsibility for complete site execution of assigned maintenance activities.
• Identify electrical equipment issues and support corrective maintenance.
• Follow approved electrical maintenance procedures and technical standards.
• Implement electrical safety procedures during maintenance and site operations.
• Coordinate with site teams and other technical personnel.
• Maintain appropriate maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Support safe and reliable operation of electrical infrastructure.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Qualification must meet the Kuwait Bachelor Standard.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Maximum age: 40 years.
• Experience in substation maintenance up to 400 kV.
• Hands-on experience with EHV, HV and LV equipment.
• Practical experience in SF6 GIS maintenance.
• Experience with power transformer maintenance.
• Experience with battery systems maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance safety procedures.
• Ability to take responsibility for complete site execution.
• Strong technical, troubleshooting, communication, and site coordination skills.
• Relevant electrical safety certifications and technical training will be advantageous.
