Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases and database objects.
• Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and dynamic SQL.
• Create and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for ETL processes.
• Configure and manage SQL Server Agent Jobs for scheduled database tasks.
• Design efficient database schemas and data models.
• Implement indexing strategies and normalization/denormalization techniques.
• Perform query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Manage transaction handling and ensure database integrity.
• Provide production database support and troubleshoot database-related issues.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver reliable database solutions.
• Utilize ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ticketing tools to manage incidents and requests.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong expertise in T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Proficiency in SQL Server Agent Jobs, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers, and Dynamic SQL.
• Strong knowledge of database design and data modeling.
• Experience with indexing strategies, normalization, and denormalization.
• Hands-on experience in ETL development.
• Strong knowledge of query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with transaction management and production support.
• Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ticketing tools.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Candidates must currently be based in Portugal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Supply Chain, Omnichannel Retail, or E-commerce domains.
• Experience working with enterprise database environments.
