Job Overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced Technical Manager – Systems in Abu Dhabi, UAE to lead enterprise systems and IT infrastructure environments. The position is offered on a 6–12 month extendable contract and is suited to professionals with strong technical leadership, infrastructure management, and enterprise systems experience.

The successful candidate will oversee infrastructure environments covering Windows Server, Linux/Unix, virtualization, hybrid cloud, enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions. The role also requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, project delivery, infrastructure strategy, and vendor management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise systems and infrastructure environments.
• Lead IT infrastructure operations and technical teams.
• Develop and implement infrastructure strategies aligned with business requirements.
• Manage Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments.
• Oversee virtualization technologies and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Manage enterprise storage environments, including SAN/NAS.
• Oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Maintain high-availability infrastructure and business continuity capabilities.
• Monitor infrastructure capacity, availability, and performance.
• Drive capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives.
• Lead infrastructure projects from planning through delivery.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and technology teams.
• Manage technology vendors, service providers, and delivery partners.
• Ensure infrastructure services meet operational and business requirements.
• Identify opportunities for infrastructure improvement and modernization.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to infrastructure teams.
• Manage technical risks, incidents, and infrastructure-related issues.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing enterprise systems and infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Windows Server
  • Linux/Unix
  • Virtualization technologies
  • Hybrid cloud platforms
• Hands-on experience with storage, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in infrastructure strategy and project delivery.
• Strong vendor management experience.
• Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Enterprise Storage experience, including SAN/NAS.
• Strong knowledge of Backup and Disaster Recovery.
• Experience in IT Infrastructure Operations.
• Knowledge of Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization.
• Arabic speaker required.
• Must currently be based in the UAE.
• Immediate availability required.
