Job Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced R&D Design Engineer to join a growing engineering organization in Prahlad Nagar, Ahmedabad. This role is ideal for mechanical and HVAC engineering professionals with expertise in New Product Development (NPD), mechanical design, HVAC equipment design, and 3D modelling. The successful candidate will contribute to developing innovative products, improving existing designs, and supporting engineering excellence throughout the product development lifecycle.
As an R&D Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing 3D models, developing engineering drawings, selecting components, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and cost-effective engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead New Product Development (NPD) and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Prepare accurate 3D models of equipment and components using Siemens NX.
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings based on project specifications.
- Generate fan curves and perform coil selections according to engineering requirements.
- Select components including fans, heat exchanger coils, and related accessories.
- Optimize product designs to improve performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Maintain engineering documentation, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and design records.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams throughout product development.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and quality requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Engineering.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in R&D Design or Mechanical Product Design.
